Tips for safeguarding your Christian Louboutin footwear
First things first, let's acknowledge that Christian Louboutin shoes are undeniably alluring. While they come with a high price tag, their sex appeal is worth every penny. If you're wondering how to wear these beauties while keeping the coveted red sole pristine, or if your favorite pair needs restoration due to worn-off red soles, don't worry – I have all the answers and solutions for you today. Please note that to repair the red bottoms of your shoes, you can refer to this blog post.
Before we get started, let me just address the obvious: I'm having a bad hair day. Thanks to the 100% humidity in Dallas, it's nearly impossible to keep my locks under control. Mother Nature seems to have forgotten we're not in Houston. However, I refuse to let a little weather stop me from creating valuable content. So, bad hair and all, here we are.
I always advise investing in shoes, handbags, and outerwear as they're the staples that can last in your wardrobe for many years if well taken care of. Christian Louboutin shoes fall into that category. However, I find it challenging to wear Mr. Louboutin's shoes due to the narrow fit in the shoe box (the part of the shoe around the toes). Luckily, my friend Lisa C. pointed out that he makes many different versions, so I'm sure I can find one that works for me. And indeed, I've found that the 'Decolette' or 'Decoltish' styles work best for me when purchasing pumps, while his open-toe shoes and wedges are also great options.
Did you know that the 'So Kate' style is named after supermodel Kate Moss? It always has a 120mm heel height, and its pitch is what makes it so sexy. Additionally, the 'Pigalle' style comes in various heights, and I think this black patent leather one is a wise investment. If you're not a fan of high heels, don't worry – Louboutin also makes flats and lower heels.
So, how do you safeguard those stunning red soles once you've made your purchase? Personally, I use Sticky Bottoms, which you can see applied to my new shoes in the top photo of this blog post. They're great at preventing scratches and wear on your red soles.
However, if the red soles of your beautiful shoes have already worn off, don't fret – you can order this red paint to restore them. Simply apply a thin coat to the bottom of your shoes and let it fully dry. It's an exact match for the Christian Louboutin red. Once you've restored them, be sure to protect them with Sticky Bottoms to prevent further damage.
It's worth noting that the film used for Sticky Bottoms is removable, so you can easily take them off if you change your mind.
Fun fact: Christian Louboutin not only designs gorgeous shoes, but he also creates beauty products and handbags. So, treat yourself to a pair of sexy red-bottomed shoes – you won't regret it!
